TRADITIONAL MID SIZED CHESS PIECES
The classic chess piece set is one of our best sellers, this is the preferred style of the club and tournament player. Hand-carved and turned using Acacia wood and boxwood, pieces are weighted and felted. Each piece begins with the artisan handpicking the kiln-dried timber to begin the art of creating a full set of chess pieces.
Each piece is carefully inspected before the polishing process. The artisans then add shellac polish and buff up each piece ( 32 pieces!) Finally, green felting is added to the base of each piece to protect your chessboard and ease of movement in gameplay
