Featuring the popular Jaques cooke reproduction chess pieces matched perfectly with our 56cm x 56cm  antique look chess board and box. What a truly outstanding chess set, one that would grace any living room or office. A collectors dream! 

A sublime Jaques Cooke reproduction Boxwood and Ebony chess pieces matched beautifully with the Antique Ochre and Maple chess board and walnut finish chess box. 

Howard Saunton, promoted this set at the first international chess tournament in 1851. Its clearly distinguishable pieces soon became the competition standard known as the 'Staunton' set. The set has embellishments pioneered by Jaques of London which include the king side stamping
