Measurements, Sizes and Specifications

At Official Staunton, the vast majority of our chess pieces, boards, boxes, and related products are handmade using traditional techniques. As a result, slight variations are a natural and expected part of the craftsmanship process.

All measurements, sizes, weights, colours, wood grain patterns, finishes, and specifications provided on our website are intended as approximate guides only. Minor differences may occur between individual items, even within the same product range.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Chess piece heights, base diameters, and weights

• Chessboard dimensions and square sizes

• Wood tone, grain, and colour variation

• Finish, polish, and detailing

• Storage box dimensions and internal tolerances

These variations do not constitute faults and should be viewed as characteristics of handmade products rather than defects.

Product photographs are provided for illustrative purposes. While we make every effort to ensure images and descriptions accurately represent each item, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural material variation may result in slight differences between photographs and the final product received.

By placing an order with Official Staunton, you acknowledge and accept that handmade chess products will exhibit small, natural variations and that all stated measurements and specifications are approximate.
